Robert Rice

Instructor

I have over 37 years of experience operating commercial vehicles, with my entire career focused on the construction industry. Throughout the years, I have driven a variety of equipment, including flatbeds, dump trucks, boom trucks, and primarily lowboy trailers, transporting heavy equipment and materials safely and efficiently. Following my retirement from full-time driving, I transitioned into driver education and have worked at two different CDL training schools. I take great pride in sharing my industry knowledge and experience with aspiring drivers and enjoy helping students achieve their goal of earning their CDL and beginning successful careers in the transportation industry.

Margaret Rae

Instructor

With 11 years of professional trucking experience, I have built a career on safety, adaptability, and a passion for the industry. Most of my driving career was spent hauling livestock throughout Canada, the Midwest, and the Eastern Seaboard, requiring strong time management, attention to detail, and a commitment to animal welfare. I also spent a season hauling flatbed loads on Canada's ice roads, gaining valuable experience operating in some of the most challenging driving conditions in North America. After becoming a parent, I made the decision to transition from over-the-road driving to a career that would allow me to spend more time with my family. Because of my continued love for trucking and desire to give back to the industry, I chose to become a driving instructor. I am passionate about helping new drivers develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to build safe and successful careers on the road.

 Ward Bail

Senior Instructor

I have been a professional driver since 1989, bringing decades of hands-on experience from a wide range of driving roles and industries. Like many drivers, I began my career after attending a driving school in Portland before moving into over-the-road transportation. Prior to trucking, I worked in fields such as painting and cooking, often juggling multiple jobs to make ends meet. Seeking greater financial stability and career opportunities, I transitioned into trucking and found a rewarding profession that provided both. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience across many areas of the transportation industry, giving me valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities new drivers face. Today, I use that experience to help aspiring drivers navigate their own career paths and build successful, rewarding futures in the trucking industry.
